www.access-steel.com provides information on the use of steel in construction. The content was created and is owned by a consortium of specialist organisations with EU and industry sponsorship. The website and supporting I.T. infrastructure was created and is hosted by the Steel Construction Institute (SCI). It is maintained by SCI under the aegis of the Steel Alliance.
The Site means all elements of www.access-steel.com including all I.T. infrastructure and components, artistic works, software, content, designs and trademarks.
Use of the Site is subject to the following terms:
1. This site is free to all registered users. Registration requires the submission of your email address.
2. By using access-steel.com you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect on your first use of the Site.
3. These terms may be changed at any time by posting changes online. Please review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted implies your agreement to the changes.
4. You may not copy, reproduce, download, post, transmit, make available to the public, communicate to the public, or otherwise use the Site or any parts thereof in any way except for your own personal use provided that all copyright and other proprietary notices are kept intact. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any or all parts of the Site. Any other use of the Site or parts thereof requires the prior written permission of SCI.
5. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use of the Site.
6. Although care has been taken to ensure to the best of our knowledge, that all data and information contained herein are accurate to the extent that they relate to either matters of fact or accepted practice or matters of opinion at the time of authoring, neither the parties involved in the creation of the Site, nor the sponsors assume any responsibility for errors in or misrepresentations of such data and/or information or any loss or damage arising from or related to their use (whether such losses where foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise, including but not limited to (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of the Site regardless of the form of action.
7. No warranty is given that the functions contained in the Site will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs.
8. The names, images and logos identifying those involved in the creation, sponsorship and maintenance of the Site are subject to copyright, design rights and trademarks. Nothing contained in these terms shall be construed as conferring any licence or right to use any such trademark, design right or copyright.
9. Where, by invitation or otherwise, you submit any contribution to the Site (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) you agree by submitting your contribution to grant The Steel Construction Institute a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licenseable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, perform, play, make available to the public, communicate to the public and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution.
10. Further to paragraph 9, by submitting your contribution to the Site you warrant that your contribution is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available through the Site for all the purposes specified above, is not defamatory and does not violate any law or infringe any property rights. You also agree to indemnify the parties involved in the creation, sponsorship and maintenance of the Site in respect of all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by any of them as a result of your breach of the above warranty. You also waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on the Site and the purposes specified above.
If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction in which that term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
